What to Expect During Your Consultation

Your consultation will take place at our state-of-the-art Riverside Facial Plastic Surgery and Sinus Center in Red Bank, New Jersey, NJ. You will enjoy a tour of our federally approved and JACHO accredited ambulatory outpatient surgical suite, where Dr. Scaccia performs most of his facial plastic surgery procedures. Dr Scaccia also has full admitting privileges to perform all of his facial plastic surgery at two local hospitals.

Riverside Facial Plastic Surgery and Sinus Center in Red Bank, New Jersey, provides a private, comfortable environment without the inconvenience and often high costs of larger hospitals. The center maintains the highest standard of sterility to minimize the risk of infection during surgery.

Dr. Scaccia and his staff will give you their personalized attention to ensure that your facial plastic surgery and/or other plastic surgery procedure is a pleasant one. Dr. Scaccia will review your medical history, conduct an examination, and let you know immediately whether facial plastic surgery or other plastic surgery, procedures will be beneficial for you. He’ll also discuss which procedure will achieve the results you desire. On occasion Dr Scaccia will explain to you that the procedure you desire is not in you best interest and will, possibly, offer other options. The simplest, safest and least expensive plan for obtaining your desired result, is always our goal.

Your initial facial plastic surgery consultation carries no obligation to have the plastic surgery procedures you discuss with Dr. Scaccia. There is a $90 consultation fee. If your procedure includes a functional component that is considered a medical problem, insurance will often cover some or all of the consultation. You won’t have to worry about any hidden costs. We will give you a written medical quotation that shows the exact cost of the procedures. The only variable that may be present is the final anesthesia bill, as it is dependent on the length of the procedure.

About Dr Scaccia
In becoming a facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Scaccia spent seven years in post-graduate surgical training. His training included three years of post-graduate studies in general surgery and four years of specialty training in plastic surgery of the head and neck region (ear, nose, and throat). Dr Scaccia is a dual board certified facial plastic surgeon and otolaryngologist who specializes in nasal surgery and sinus surgery. Often, he will perform rhinoplasty and sinus surgery together so that the patient will end up with not only a better appearing but a nose that breathes and feels better. Corrections of any chronic sinus infections can result in less postnasal drip, nasal obstruction, sinus headaches, and snoring/apnea problems.

Dr. Scaccia is a dual board-certified facial plastic surgeon and otolaryngologist whose nasal surgery and sinus surgery abilities include corrections for breathing. Many of his rhinoplasty and sinus surgery procedure treatments are tailored more for functionality of the nose than for outward appearance. This sinus surgery can address postnasal drip, stuffy nose, headaches and snoring/apnea.

The American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is the only board that sets standards, examines and certifies surgeons exclusively in facial plastic & reconstructive surgery.

The Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is a National Medical Society of the American Medical Association (AMA). The AAFPRS holds an official seat in the AMA House of Delegates and on the American College of Surgeons Board of Governors.

Election to Fellow, American College of Surgeons (FACS) signifies that the surgeon’s professional qualifications, surgical competence and ethic conduct have passed a vigorous evaluation and are consistent with the high standards established and demanded by the college.

AAFPRS FOUNDATION MEMBERSHIP
The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) was founded in 1964 and now represents more then 2,800 facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons throughout the world.

The AAFPRS is a National Medical Society of the American Medical Association (AMA) and holds an official seat in the AMA House of Delegates and on the American College of Surgeons board of governors.

The AAFPRS is primarily an educational organization. It offers support training in residency programs, courses, workshops and other scientific presentations. It has a highly respected fellowship training program. The Educational and Research Foundation has consistently provided quality educational programs for dissemination of knowledge and information among facial plastic surgeons.

The Foundation funds for research makes available awards for those who make an outstanding contribution to this specialty facial plastic surgery and reconstructive plastic surgery. Funds are also made available for pro-bono efforts in emerging countries, and in the United States it’s Face-to Face program. AAFPRS Foundation takes a firm stand in helping victims of domestic violence in the United States through the Face-to-Face program, in which Dr. Scaccia participates in conjunction with the National Domestic Violence Project.

AMERICAN BOARD OF FACIAL PLASTIC & RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY
Established in 1986, the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) is dedicated to improving the quality for facial plastic surgery against rigorous standards. The ABFPRS, certifies facial plastic surgeons exclusively in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Not only is Dr Scaccia certified by the ABFPRS but he received the highest score in the United States on the board certification exam in 1995 and was award the Jack Anderson Award for his efforts.
